3 vehicles collide and claim 2 lives.A Polo Sedan and a minibus have burnt to ashes, following a collision with the back of a truck, making the truck to lose control and collide with a minibus taxi coming in the opposite direction. This was confirmed by the department of Community Safety and Transport Management. Two passengers who were travelling in the minibus taxi are confirmed dead and 3 others, together with the polo driver sustained serious injuries following an accident on the N14, outside of Vryburg. The Department MEC Sello Lehari has pleaded with road users to be vigilant on the road. “This is truly a tragic event. I am at a loss for words. It is very important for road users to stay alert. Always remember that you are not only driving your car, but the one in front of you and the one behind," said MEC Lehari. The MEC continued to send condolensces to the bereaved families. “May the souls of the departed rest in peace. As a department, we send strength to the families of the individuals who passed on. Please know that time heals all wounds,” added the MEC. The flow of traffic is back to normal. The scene of the accident is being cleared. END Next Articles+ |
